Now after soem research it showed that for one Datacron on Hoth you need to kill an "Ancient Probe" so I've been waiting at one point of it's route for the last 3 hours and I'm sorta getting frustrated. Ilum has three datacrons and two matrix shards, all of which can be found by both Imperial and Republic players. Every Datacron also unlocks a Codex Entry which unlocks Lore for you to read. Each Datacron you collect permanently boosts the stats of every character you have, including new characters.
